Seems nothing has changed at Golden Castle Caravans since they were "taken over". Went there on Tuesday 24 July to buy a length of pipe. The price agreed was £1.20 a metre. I ordered 10m. Only approx. 7.75 metres was available. I settled for this. I paid by credit card, the card payment was put through, and only when I checked my receipt as I was leaving did I find I had been charged £1.50 a metre for 7m of pipe. I queried this and said that I had been told it was £1.20 a metre. The man behind the counter told me the price had changed and that he had only charged me for 7m in compensation. He did not mention this while looking up the price or putting through the transaction or check with me that this was an acceptable offer. 8 metres at £1.20 is of course £9.60, while 7 metres at £1.50 is £10.50, so I was still charged more than agreed, even if I had accepted this charging method in compensation for the price increase, which I did not.
