Best fish and chips in Gloucestershire

Our Family [Wife two kids and me] were visiting from Joburg South Africa - and staying my parents who live in Coleford - We were recommended Frydays - I have a real soft spot for good fish and chips - having worked from Bradey's of London in my youth - The quality and service from this Chippy was world class - The fish was cooked to perfection with a superb light batter, the chips where chrispy but not over done. The shop was spotlessly clean and all the staff were attentive and friendly - One of the high points was that the owner was there working, chatting and serving the customers - really hands-on - this kind of service is sorely missing these days and that's why finding Fryday's was a real treat for us and it will become a permanent pit-stop on every trip we make to the UK.
