Harry Hare's is a relaxed brasserie serving a menu of modern British cuisine.
Having lived in the cotswolds now for around 2 years I was well aware of HH's good reputation and swanky bar/restaurant in the heart of Cirencester.I had been there several times a year or so ago and the food was nice (a little over priced) and atmosphere lively. However - I recently visited with some friends that had come to stay and was dissapointed.Ok, so in fairness it was a Sunday but the service was terrible. It took 30minutes to get some bread which was supposed to be there while we chose main courses. The main course came within a reasnable wait but the food was mediocre and unimpressive. The staff were not helpful or apparently bothered with the numerous complaints they were receiving over speed of service.Overall - dissapointing experience and I have removed it from my list of options when in Cirencester.
A lovely menu with lots of variety. Pricey but worth it for a special occassion. Service was a bit slow but they seemed to be short staffed at the time and we weren't in a rush anyway.
